Some of my stuff is horror, some is erotic, some is romantic, and some is silly. I mix poetry in--I've been influenced by a lot of the Victorian poets. But my work has an edge, which is why I like to say my work is a mixture of "poetry and perversity." I also mix in silly songs, like in cartoons. I did that a lot in my latest book, about a male pony named Machoponi. If you've ever seen the paintings of Mark Ryden, I think of my work as the literary version of his style. I'm also influenced by "Alice in Wonderland."
